Integration & User Interface
An
integrated software package is one that combines several applications in one
program, such as database management, word processing, spreadsheets, business
graphics, and communications. One advantage of an integrated package is that
there is a common user interface providing interaction with the computer.
InFoCADs software suite is fully integrated by virtue of its sharing a common user interface and an internal internal data structure. InFoCAD provides al of the capabilities of stand-alone programs (i.e. GIS, CADD, COGO, G_RDBMS, Images, and Video) in a single integrated system that does not require users to export and import data between multiple modules or systems in order to accomplish a task.
Third-party
applications developed under InFoCAD also share this common interface, and
therefore provide you with this unique benefit.
InFoCAD uses a highly organized and flexible "point and click" interface with appeals to the sophisticated power-user, yet remains easy to learn and use. The object-oriented interface consists of 3-D buttons, panels, and icons for selecting commands and options, Users do not need to learn complicated syntax or bother with command lines, since al commands area activated at the "touch of a button".
The consistency and organization of InFoCADs interface allows users to always know where they are within the program and what their status is at any given moment. When a command or option is irrelevant, its button becomes unavailable to be the user.
InFoCAD
workstation versions provide users with the choice of two interface styles,
standard and iconic, whereas, InFoCAD Windows NT versions use a combination
iconic/pull-down menu interface. Both versions allow users to reconfigure
the menuing system for their comfort and convenience, and each provides on-line
HELP.
These are just a few reasons why InFoCADs integration and highly intuitive graphical user interface users with unsurpassed functionality, performance, and ease of use.
